Privacy Policy for insColors
Last updated: July 17, 2026
insColors (“we”, “the app”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how the app handles information.
- Summary
insColors edits photos on your device to create EXIF-aware story cards. We do not require an account and we do not operate a user-content cloud for your cards.
- Information we process on your device
• Photos you select (including Live Photos where supported) and related EXIF/metadata (such as camera settings, timestamps, and GPS coordinates when present in the file)
• Text you enter for titles/subtitles and your layout/typography preferences stored locally on your device
- Optional network use
• Location enrichment: if a photo contains GPS coordinates and wireless data is available, the app may use Apple’s reverse-geocoding (CLGeocoder) to improve place names for Story templates. This uses Apple’s services under Apple’s terms; we do not run our own location server.
• Version check: the app may contact Apple’s public App Store Lookup service to detect a newer version.
• Links you open: Privacy Policy, Terms, Apple’s standard EULA, and App Store rating/review pages open in the system browser or App Store only when you tap them.
- What we do not do
• We do not sell your personal data
• We do not require you to create an account
• We do not upload your photos to our servers for editing (editing is on-device)
- Photo Library access
We request Photo Library access so you can choose a photo and save finished cards. Access is used only for these features.
- Data retention
Preferences and caches remain on your device until you delete the app or clear device data. We do not maintain a separate cloud archive of your cards.
- Children
The app is not directed to children under 13.
- Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do.
- Contact
For privacy questions, use Feedback in the app Settings, or contact us through your App Store Connect correspondence / the app’s App Store product page.
